Balochistan with lot of natural resources has been bestowed by Almighty Allah. Livestock in Balochistan is also God gifted which has been a leader in provincial economy. Its global approach to poverty alleviation, its emphasis on sustainability, its readiness to livelihood, and its insistence on providing useful employment without gender discrimination are what the province desperately need. Livestock has played a pivotal role in provincial economy. That is why I am so honoured to be the part of Balochistan Livestock & Dairy Development Department. Besides having great potential, the livestock sector has ever been neglected during last decades but due to the vision of our leadership towards addressing issues related to livestock, every province and all dignitaries have become alert for development of the sector. In this series of efforts, the Animal Health Information System is being launched which I may believe that will provide a huge platform to all stakeholders for dash-boarding of their expertise and expression of their interests. In the perspective of this Information System, the Livestock Department is eager to achieve set goals which will definitely benefit the general public as well as to livestock keepers. All our visionary leaders, know that livestock has to be useful and it has to be inclusive. Their vision and emphasis are much important for us. It is an honour for me to witness and to be a part of the launching of this Information System.
