Anti Congo Spray Campaign.

On the special instructions of Worthy Secretary, Livestock and Dairy Development Department Balochistan, a comprehensive campaign against Congo virus has been started throughout the province. Animals brought to the livestock markets are being treated with anti-tick sprays. This congaing is covering all the entry points in Quetta and other big cities. Director General animal Health and Extension Services has advised the animal farmers and buyers to carefully check their animals for the presence of ticks. Animals with tick infestation should be separated from rest of the animals and meat of highly infested animals should not be used for human consumption. Livestock and Dairy Development Department has already deployed teams in all livestock markets for spray of animals. These teams are headed by veterinary officers and supervised by high ranked officers.
